Excellent Book!

For many years, my wife and I have wanted a book like this to give away to those who desire to understand how to go to heaven when they die. The author, Charles Bing, does an excellent job in making the Gospel of salvation clear and simple. I was so impressed after first reading the book that I decided to read it a second time. I enjoyed it even more the second time--so much that I ordered 40 copies to give away. And, after reading the book a third time, I ordered 50 more to give away.
It was encouraging for me to read a book that does such a good job of portraying God's grace. Unfortunately, many people today think that man's response to God's salvation is more than by faith alone. They add conditions that make salvation no longer a free gift. But, "SIMPLY by GRACE" communicates well the Biblical truth of faith alone in Christ alone. It is a book that everyone should read.

Outstanding Book on the Message of God's Grace

Dr. Charlie Bing is a wonderful man of grace who leads a ministry in Texas which presents worldwide the message of the freedom of God's grace. His book is very straightforward in its presentation of the grace message. It provides challenging insights for the Bible scholar but it can be understood clearly by the scriptural novice as well. Issues such as justification, sanctification, eternal security and assurance of salvation are delineated and distinguished clearly. And, much like Charles Swindoll in his classic work, The Grace Awakening, this "Charles" has the ability to confront pervasive errors in the Christian community on the subject of grace in a loving, yet firm and thoroughly biblical way. He truly presents the message of grace graciously!

God's Grace Explained Clearly and Biblically

Dr. Bing is a common man's theologian. In the midst of confusing and often self-contradicting messages on this topic, he has written a clear, accessible, and most importantly, Biblical treatise on God's grace; for salvation and for Christian life. God's grace is neither cheap nor easy as some try to trivialize it(chapter 5). Furthermore, it is totally unmerited and undeserved. Therefore, we simply cannot and will not be able to earn it or add to it with good works(chapters 4 and 7).
Bing takes us from the definition of the word, its usage in the Bible, God's grace toward man from Adam till today, in the 10 commandments, in salvation, in full assurance, in service, etc. I especially appreciated his discussion on grace and works. In my opinion, this is the best book I have read on this topic, which differentiates Christianity from all other religions (according to CS Lewis as written in the introduction). This book will be helpful to those who are under the bondage of the "performance-based" sect or those in legalistic churches. Additionally, if you are not a Christian or are searching, this book will be a great introduction to God's incredible grace.
