“Who is your alpha?” Peter asks, walking closer. Chad takes an involuntary step back, Peter’s word infused with the full authority of his dominance. It feels like he can’t breathe.
“You are,” Chad says, forcing the words out. Peter grins, proud and possessive.
“And are you going to be good for your alpha?”
Peter grabs Chad’s chin, tilting his head up, squeezing Chad’s cheeks as they stand chest to chest. Chad tries to nod, too overcome to speak, but Peter’s hold on his chin prevents it.
“Yes, alpha,” he says, the words coming out like a moan.
“Good boy.”
Chad closes his eyes, surrendering to Peter’s control. It feels amazing, like he can finally let go and relax. Peter will catch him no matter how hard he falls...

Oh, so good!!! :)

"You're on a roll, Peter." I was on the bus reading and I just started laughing when I read this line. I was so thrilled to see that there was another story with Evan, Chad and Peter because I really wanted to see how the omega rehabilitation went and really really wanted to see Bo and Trick find awesome alphas. And they did!! Woohoo!!! I thought the author was setting up Chad to take over the Omega Rights group given his take on how underfunded and in need they were, but that was probably just me reading too much into his observations. I agree with the reviewer who said Peter is a little bit of a sociopath, and like Evan, I'm fine with it. I think this author introduced us to another intriguing character, Merchant. He delivered my favourite line and I'd really like to see what he's about. I think he's where Peter was right before he met Chad and became a different/kinder person in certain respects and I'd like to see Merchant meet his mate and how he changes. I think the story of Bo and/or Trick with their alpahs could be delved into further, but I'm satisfied knowing they're happy and with the right alphas. Hence, I'm officially lobbying for Merchant's story where he meet his omega, or even an alpha, mate. Overall, I'm beyound ecstatic with this installment.

So excited to see these characters again!

So excited to see this. I loved reading about Evan and Chad (and Peter I guess) in the first series, and this was a great peek at what happened next. I really like Chad and how he tries to be a good person, not just alpha, and Evan is adorable going to school and making friends. Peter is a little bit of a sociopath I think, though he obviously loves Chad and Evan. I loved the scene where he made Evan feel bad, only to go out of dom mode and comfort him. So sweet!
To conclude, I was happy with this book. I was also really happy that it was long (almost 200 pages). Can't wait to read what D.J. Heart comes out with next.
