Lots of Quantity Here But...

Loved the cover and concept of this cookbook but the recipes were a disappointment. Most of them seemed bland and boring, very simplistic, a lot had little or no seasonings...

There may be a lot of recipes to chose from here, but I'm wondering how much thought and testing actually went into each one. I'll pick quality over quantity any day, when it comes to choosing a recipe collection to use and enjoy again and again. This one did not fit that criteria at all.

an odd book

This book contains some nice recipes and many variations on vegan standards. The instructions for many of the recipes are misleading for inexperienced vegan cooks. For example, 30 minutes of soaking time is not enough for almonds to be used in cheese. Just sayin'.

The writing style is odd, with phrasing not normally found in cookbooks..."position the ingredients in the food processor..." Huh? And putting "enjoy!" at the end of most of the recipes is silly.

With some good editing, this might be a reasonably good cookbook. As it is, it makes me glad for that Kindle "delete from device" option.

This one's a NO...

This book is a compilation of recipes, likely collected from the internet, with one of those auto-written introductions. I would assume the author used an "article spinner" or similar software to do most of the writing & pass CopySpace.The words and phrasing is barely sensible in many places, and not at all written as though well-thought out or edited.

That saddens me,as I love a good vegan cookbook.

After checking out the author's other work, however, I'm inclined to doubt she (or he) is a vegan at all. Capitalizing on the trend, I'd guess. Such is the free market.

My recommendation: Save your 99 cents for a better cookbook, written by someone who cares about our lifestyle.
